Game 3 - Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 8 v 44 Leeds Rhinos Belle Vue/Atlantic Solutions Stadium, Wakefield - 8pm Friday 15th February
Game 4 - Leeds Rhinos 34 v 6 Catalan Dragons Headingley Stadium, Leeds - 8pm Friday 22nd February
Two games with things in common, an easy win for a coasting Rhinos side with the storm on the horizon and exposure to two of the most annoying types of fan.
Type A: The Chain Smoker Because Wakefield is still stuck in the stupid ages its one of the few stadia in which you can still smoke and despite the fact that most of his teeth had fallen out and in an almost sell out crowd he had more space than most of the players he still managed to smoke all the way through the game and blow it in my face!
Type B: The Screecher You thought you had left them on the sidelines of school sports matches but five minutes before kick-off... they come stand behind you. Impatience with their own team and ignorance of the rules and dynamics of the game are important but key is the high pitched scream and volume are the key!
Next up....

Game 2 - Huddersfield Giants 10 v 30 Leeds Rhinos Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield - 3pm Sunday 10th February
 ooo.. sunny
But still very cold! First away trip of the year and its Another record crowd that ive been a part of, pretty weak by Leeds standards though. First decent performance of the year but still plenty in reserve for the big one i reckon, nothing eventful to report the organisation is still as pitiful as ever and I did not even get any decent photos of the match day experience!

Game 1 - Leeds Rhinos 20 v 12 Hull Kingston Rovers Headingley Stadium, Leeds - 6pm, Saturday 2nd February
The first leg of the journey wasn't,that far, the more exotic locations may have to wait. The "summer game" begins with as many layers of clothing as degrees on the thermometer and a return to a typical leeds performance, took them an hour to get going and deciding it was too cold to play any football. Best bit: John Innes return to headingley, bit of opera man never goes down badly Worst bit: Even if it does get you on television put your gut away! Fat people swinging there shirts and man boobs is not good to see

Your month has past and now you will be flipped and forgotten, In 31 days not enough progress has been made towards point scoring for 2008 so its 0/10 so far!

Thanks for the pick me up on those boring saturday afternoons turning something as boring as football score updates into entertainment. Not just because it was nothing but good news this weekend either. If they go through with it and cancel Sky Sports News Ill be a sad panda!

A year passes, and to assess it would easy enough but not entirely satisfying, words of the artistic nature have never been my strong point - numbers have always been my thing and so im going to give 2008 a mark out of ten Ive written ten ambitions for the year (not here) and that should give me something to come back to at the end of the year to see how Ive done
Interestingly i found 10 a bit difficult to reach, sticking between realistically possible and easily achievable and avoiding things that im dont want to do, maybe one of them should have been to be more ambitious?

January the first: I have decided to keep a journal of my thoughts and deeds over the coming year. A daily chart of my progress through life so that perhaps one day others may seek enlightenment through these pages
